TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Applies to all Greenhouse tunnel jobs supplied, delivered, and/or installed by MCC SD&ED Projects.
- Estimates or quotations issued by MCC SD&ED Projects are valid for 10 days only.
- Payment terms will be strictly adhered to.
- a) Jobs to be installed by MCC SD&ED Projects: 70% on acceptance of the quote, 10% on delivery, and 20% on the day of completion and sign-off.
- b) Jobs to be delivered by MCC SD&ED Projects but installed by the client: 80% on acceptance of the quote, 20% on the day of delivery, prior to dispatch.
- c) Jobs to be collected by the client: Full payment upon acceptance of the quotation. d) No tunnel jobs will be supplied on a 30-day account or payment terms.
- Refund policies will be strictly adhered to. Refunds will only be processed in full if MCC SD&ED Projects has terminated a job. If a job is cancelled or terminated by a customer for any reason, a 10% handling fee applies. MCC SD&ED Projects reserves the right to process refunds within 1–30 days from the termination of the contract. Non-stock items ordered and/or manufactured for a specific job will not be refunded. Electrical components may not be returned and will not be refunded. Fertilizers and chemicals may not be returned and will not be refunded.
- Lead times apply. Please discuss with a salesperson before paying a deposit. Manufacturing only commences once the deposit has been paid.
- Unless specified otherwise in writing on the quote, the customer is responsible for site preparation and levelling BEFORE delivery. MCC SD&ED Projects recommends a level site, dry, with any grass present cut short.
- Export jobs are subject to the following terms:
- a) Full payment prior to delivery and/or collection.
- b) South African VAT is payable on all export jobs not delivered by MCC SD&ED Projects (i.e., collected by the customer) and should be claimed from the local authorities by the customer.
- c) MCC SD&ED Projects reserves the right to invoice without VAT as we are tax-exempt.
- d) Import duties are, in all cases, the responsibility of the client.
- e) No returns or refunds will be considered on exported jobs. The customer is urged to ensure that items quoted are according to their needs.
- Any installation fees, if quoted, include only:
- a) Digging of holes and trenches for the structure and plastic.
- b) Erection and establishment of the tunnel structure. c) Installation and securing of material covering the structure (plastic or shade net).
- d) Setting up and connection of the pump station and tanks, if quoted.
- Standard installation fees, if quoted, exclude, unless otherwise specified:
- a) Levelling, trenching, and preparation inside the tunnel.
- b) Layout of any ground cover.
- c) Installation of an irrigation system in the tunnel.
- d) Any electrical work or installations.
- e) Preparation of growing media, pots, or bags.
- f) Planting of seedlings or seed.
- g) Installation of a concrete slab for the pump station and tanks. h) Accommodation of the installation team on site. Water, electricity, and some sort of sheltered shed are sufficient; the installation team has access to tents and beds. If not available, extra charges for lodging may occur.
- MCC SD&ED Projects will take no responsibility for damage to or theft of goods or tools on site during or after delivery and/or installation of a project. Site security is for the customer’s account.
- During installation, the customer is responsible for electricity and water on site for the purpose of installation and consumption.
- Unless quoted, sand, stone, and cement for installation are for the customer’s account. Supplies to be on site BEFORE installation commences
- a) For standard tunnels: 2m³ concrete mix and 6 bags of high-quality cement per tunnel.
- b) For tunnels with extra support against strong winds: 4m³ concrete mix and 12 bags of high-quality cement are required.
- c) For Multispan tunnels, the equivalent of 1 standard tunnel is to be supplied per bay. d) If a concrete slab for a pump station will be installed, the equivalent of 1 standard tunnel is to be supplied per pair of (2) tanks.
- Only goods specifically quoted will be delivered. Any changes to specifications or quotes should be in writing. Once a quote is accepted, the job will be completed according to the specifications of the quote. Changes to a quote after acceptance will be considered and quoted according to MCC SD&ED Projects policies and will have to be paid for prior to collection/delivery/installation. The customer will be liable for all charges accumulated by changes to specifications after a quotation has been accepted.
- Standing time on site will be charged in proportion to the installation fee if, during or after delivery, delays in delivery or installation are caused by the customer. This includes delays in site preparation, delivery of goods supplied by the client, or any other delays on account of the customer.
- MCC SD&ED Projects reserves the right to amend pricing without prior notice.
- MCC SD&ED Projects reserves the right to replace certain items on the quote with similar items where availability is widely affected.
- Unless otherwise quoted, MCC SD&ED Projects reserves the right to retrieve any leftover goods and all tools from a SIGNED OFF site where a project has been completed according to specifications.
- MCC SD&ED Projects will not be held liable for any damage caused by any ‘act of God’, including, but not limited to, hail, wind, rain, or fire. Insurance against these is highly recommended.
- Any warranties or guarantees given cover workmanship only.
- By accepting a quote and/or paying a deposit to MCC SD&ED Projects, you confirm to have read, understood, and accepted the full terms and conditions.
