Butter Kin Squash (Metric Measurements)
This new variety of Butternut squash typically measures approximately 15 to 20 centimeters in diameter with a flattened oval shape and pastel peach outer coloring.
Each squash weighs approximately 0.9 to 1.8 kilograms, and the interior is a bright orange color with a very small seed cavity.
The variety boasts a much sweeter flavor compared to a regular butternut squash and is excellent for baking, roasting, steaming, and even grilling.
It’s important to note that the varietal was named only due to its resemblance to a pumpkin and not because of any actual botanical cross-breeding.
