Swiss Chard Silverado White Stem

R0,40

OUTSTANDING QUALITIES

  • DARK GREEN COLOUR
  • GOOD BOLTING RESISTANCE
  • SLOWER GROWING
  • WIDELY ADAPTED

Silverado is a later maturing swiss chard variety (when compared to Ford Hook Giant) with very good bolting resistance. Leaves have a dark green glossy colour and leaves are very savoy. Petioles are white and thinner than the normal Fordhook Giant. Silverado takes 60 – 65 days to mature after seedling transplant. Plants are very uniform.

SPECIAL VARIETAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Contact your area representative for more information
  • Silverado is ideally suited to the processing market; the thick leaves and smaller stem allows for more “processing product”
